Samsung Galaxy C5 One disadvantage for Android users is the fact that Android updates are not available right away. In some cases, phones receive an Android version a few years after it has been released. Luckily, it appears that this thing is about to change, and the Oreo update has already reached many devices.
Android Nougat has been released back in March 2015 and now it appears that will finally be launched for Samsung Galaxy C5. Samsung Galaxy C7 already started to receive it and both phones were launched with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.
The Nougat update
Android 7.0 Nougat version is the one that precedes Android 8.0 Oreo and it brought some new features to Android users. For example, it allows “Double Tap” on the Recent button so that you can switch between the two most recent apps. Nougat also tried to combat battery draining and it brings “Doze on the go”, which activates even if the phone is in your pocket.
If you want to check if you have the upgrade simply go to Settings > About Phone > Software Update. This update is an over-the-air one so make sure that you have a stable Wi-Fi connection and a charged battery. It may take some time until the update will be available.
